We spent years saying yes to everything — birthday songs, pre-made beats, whatever came through the door. That's what you do when you're building something. But there's a point where keeping the lights on stops being survival and starts being a ceiling. We hit that point. Strange Mojo Studios is done playing small.

For a long time, Strange Mojo Studios took whatever came through the door.

That’s not a complaint. That’s just what you do when you’re building something — you say yes to everything, you learn from everything, you keep the lights on. You write the birthday song. You track the guy with the pre-made beat and the dream. You smile, you do your best work, you cash the check.

You do it long enough, and you start to wonder if this is it.

It isn’t.

Kole and I have spent the better part of two decades building something — as engineers, as producers, as co-writers, as people who have poured real pieces of themselves into other people’s music and watched it become something neither of them could have made alone. That’s not a small thing. That’s a lifetime of skill with a very specific and very powerful application.

We’ve decided to stop wasting it.

Strange Mojo Studios is relaunching — new site, new positioning, new energy — as a boutique production house with one clearly defined mission: to find the artists who are as serious about their craft as we are about ours, and to work with them until they’re not up-and-coming anymore. Until they’re just there.

We’re not interested in volume. We’re not interested in whatever walked in off the street. We’re interested in the band that’s been playing the same eight songs for two years and knows — knows — that there’s a record in there that could change everything if someone with the right ears and the right hands would just help them get it out.

That’s us. That’s always been us. We just needed to say it louder.

We do this from Westminster, MD and remotely for artists anywhere in the world. Mixing. Mastering. Full production. Co-writing. The whole thing, if that’s what your music needs. Flat quotes, no surprises, no upsells, no wasted sessions. We work the way we’d want someone to work on our music.
